Welcome to TOKYO FREE PARK. This time, we are here to introduce you to a fantastic destination in Edogawa Ward – GYOSEN PARK. One of the park’s standout features is its expansive natural zoo, where you can interact with animals for free.

Inside the park, you’ll have the chance to meet over 30 species of animals including penguins and spider monkeys. It’s a highly recommended spot for families with young children to spend quality time together.

Interactive Animal Zone

You can meet sheep, goat, rabbit and other animals on site. This zone operates on weekdays with timed entry slots: Hours: ① 10:30 AM – ② 11:00 AM – ③ 1:30 PM – ④ 2:00 PM
If you wish to participate, please get a free ticket at the service center.

Fun for Kids at the Play Area

Apart from the natural zoo, there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy. Families with young children will find a dedicated play area for kids, complete with a large slide.

Fountain Plaza

The Fountain Plaza features vending machines and numerous benches, providing a perfect place to take a break and relax.

Japanese Garden

Gyosen Park boasts the lush Heisei Teien, a Japanese garden surrounding a pond. And you can use a room in the Japanese building called Genshinan (pictured on the left) for an additional fee (starting from 630 yen for 3 hours). You can feed carps in the pond, and fish food is available at the service center.

Anyone can freely enjoy freshwater fishing for Herabuna or Carassius cuvieri. Please release any caught fish back into the pond, and note that equipment rental is not available, so be sure to bring your own fishing gear and bait.
