Welcome to Tokyo Free Parks! Today, we’re excited to introduce a park that’s perfect for young dinosaur fans—Horinouchi Kita Park.

Although it takes about 20 minutes on foot from the nearest train station, the walk is well worth it. Tucked away in a quiet residential area just off the busy Kan-nana Dori (Loop Road No. 7) in Adachi Ward, this charming local park is affectionately known as “Dinosaur Park.”

Ankylosaurus statue: 2.5 m long, 1.5 m wide, 1.2 m tall
Stegosaurus statue: 7 m long, 2.5 m wide, 3 m tall

The nickname comes from the three dinosaur statues that call this park home—Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, and Plateosaurus. These life-sized figures are a huge hit with kids, sparking curiosity and imagination.

In addition to the dinosaurs, the park is equipped with classic playground features like slides, swings, and a sandbox, where children can enjoy playing under the watchful eyes of their prehistoric friends.

You’ll even find dinosaur-themed decorations on the restroom wall. And don’t forget to look down—there are dinosaurs hiding in the park’s ground as well! See if you can find them all.
