Welcome to Tokyo Free Parks! This time, we’re introducing Kamiyabori Park, Kita City, Tokyo, a great spot where you can enjoy both athletic playgrounds and water play.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Oji-Kamiya Station, Kamiyabori Park offers a variety of outdoor fun for kids and families. The park has a long, narrow shape, and from north to south, it features a stream-style water play area, athletic equipment, and a playground zone.

The water play area, designed to look like a natural stream with rocks and gentle slopes, is a favorite in the summer (Jun. – Sep.). It’s the perfect place for children to cool down and splash around — and it’s free!

There are several pieces of athletic equipment that are surprisingly challenging — ideal for elementary school kids and older. If you’re traveling with active kids, this section is a must-visit.

The playground includes two types of combination playsets: one for toddlers and one for older kids. Whether climbing, sliding, or exploring, there’s something for every age.

Kamiyabori Park is also well-equipped with toilets, drinking water, and picnic tables and benches. It’s a great place to take a break, eat lunch, and enjoy a fun-filled day outdoors — all without spending a yen.
