AKAGI CHILDREN’S PARK – Make Fun with Elephants! | Kagurazaka, Tokyo

スポンサーリンク

Welcome to TOKYO FREE PARKS. In this post, we’ll introduce you to a recommended hidden gem to visit when you’re in Kagurazaka – AKAGI CHILDREN’S PARK (AKAGI JIDO YUEN) located in a quiet residential neighborhood about 100 meters north of Kagurazaka Station.

While it’s a very small park with a narrow entrance, covering around 600 square meters, in this densely populated area, this park is cherished as a precious open space.

Upon entering the park, you’ll find a sandbox and play equipment, but what sets it apart are…

…the two large elephants! Yes. The highlight of the park is the giant elephant slide!

This slide is designed to take advantage of the park’s elevation changes. Such a unique slide can’t be found in other Tokyo parks and has become the symbol of Akagi Children’s Park.

While it may not be a park where you can spend hours, it’s worth a visit for families on a trip to Tokyo with children or those planning to stay in Kagurazaka.
